The collection should actually be called the View Askewniverse Collection, as called by its creator/writer/director Kevin Smith (aka Silent Bob), and consists currently as of 01-01-2014 of 6 parts, soon to be 7 with the release of Clerks III. The collection actually also includes a TV series, 2 short films, and many comics.
"The characters Jay and Silent Bob appear in almost all the View Askewniverse media, and characters from one story often reappear or are made reference to in others.....
....Smith's recurring characters, settings, and motifs first appeared in his debut film, Clerks. Since then, the main canon has consisted of six feature films, in addition to several short films, comic books, and a short-lived animated TV series. The View Askewniverse is centered on the towns of Leonardo, Highlands, and Red Bank, all located in Monmouth County, central New Jersey." - Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/View_Askewniverse

Here is more from wikipedia...
Mallrats - "As in the other View Askewniverse films, the characters Jay and Silent Bob figure prominently, and characters and events from other films are discussed.... ....The day prior to the events of Clerks...."
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - " Smith originally intended for it to be the last film set in his View Askewniverse, or to feature Jay and Silent Bob. Five years later, Smith reconsidered and decided to continue the series with Clerks II, resurrecting Jay and Silent Bob in supporting roles. Smith has also decided to make another sequel to Clerks, and as of 2013 is in development. "
Chasing Amy - "Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck) and Banky Edwards (Jason Lee) are comic book artists and lifelong friends. Holden is the calmer, more reasonable of the duo; Banky, meanwhile, is the caustic and short-tempered half. Everything is going well for them until they meet Alyssa Jones (Joey Lauren Adams) at a comic book convention in New York where they are promoting their comic Bluntman and Chronic." These are all re-occurring characters and themes from the clerks movie

Unfortunately, our collection rules are pretty clear about this: https://www.themoviedb.org/documentation/editing#collections
I removed the movies you added. Please don't change that collection again. Thanks.

well its not just grouping together for the "universe", all the movies also feature the same sub-plot of jay and silent bob's comic bluntman and chronic, and its theft, sale and movie production.
It is also sold as several collections.. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s184/originaldave77/Quick-Stop-Groceries-RST-Video-Blu-Ray-Case-View-Askew--Collection-2011-davesgeekyideas.jpg

i can go on...
And if you really are going to deny this collection for being a collection, you should also remove the unrelated backdrops and edit the overview. Nothing makes sense as you have left it.

Are they sequels?
Did you actually read the collection rules? Point number two is key:
I just changed the overview and deleted the backdrops. Thanks for the reminder.
(EDIT: I agree that grouping the films like you did is a good way to do it, but it's just not possible as a collection. The rules are narrow by design. A list is a much better option.)

Yes, they are sequels. They take place in linear order and are loosely connected by the appearance of Jay and Silent Bob. The two (and soon to be three) movies entitled 'Clerks' are actually a nested collection within the main collection. So, the current collection is incorrect as the rules specifically prohibit it. The correct collection, as per creator Kevin Smith, is the "View Askewniverse Collection" and NOT the "Clerks" collection.

The last time I checked Kevin Smith was not responsible for the collection rules here. There are lots of movie universes out there that are ever so loosely connected, but would make a ton of sense to keep as collections. Still, the rules are clear.
However, I have heard rumors about something new coming to collections that perhaps could resolve these issues. We will have to wait and see if it is true!
