My current method is to set up a niche language for bad images.

But doesn't it seem like this is a good solution?

Is it possible to add the option of "bad images" in the language options?

This way, users can set their uploaded images as bad to avoid being captured by users, and report to the administrator to delete them!

I usually maintain TV dramas that are currently being aired, so if I don't set the language for bad images, there is a high probability that they will be obtained by users the next day!

Do the authorities have any good solutions for this situation?

Never move bad images to "niche languages". This is vandalism and can result in your account being suspended – see this guideline from our Contribution Bible:

Language
...
Sabotage
Setting poster languages incorrectly to promote a poster is sabotage and will result in a warning or possibly even a ban.

If you come across a bad image, report it. If there are multiple posters for an entry, it's a good idea to include the url of the bad image (e.g. https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/tHqrADP3ie7z4Nqcy2CTzLFHn2w.jpg) in the report. If the problem with the bad image is not obvious at first glance, please also describe why it should be removed (e.g. if it is a fan poster). This will save the mods time when checking the report.

I think that adding a "trash" as an option to change the language of bad images is a very good idea, but it has to be decided by @Travis.

I hope to analyze the specific situation in detail. Because this is not intentional destruction, it is just to prevent the uploaded images from being obtained by users. The tool I use will default to obtaining official stills, but the official images are not very beautiful. My friend and I forgot to exclude them (bad images) while using the tool to automatically upload them.

Example:

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/222490/season/1/episode/7

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/252136/season/1/episode/8

Because almost during the broadcast of the TV series, we update the metadata of TMDB synchronously. So if we let the bad images above have no language, then they will definitely be obtained by users the next day, which is not what I hope.

I hope to add this feature.

Definitely don't move any more images to the wrong languages. The images I've seen belong to "No language". Also, please definitely do not upload any images with subtitles. I don't know what application you use to upload the images, to avoid mistakes I definitely recommend uploading everything manually and checking before uploading to avoid as many mistakes as possible.

Undoubtedly, tools are not perfect, and users cannot avoid making mistakes.

Or allow uploaders to delete their uploaded images within a certain period of time?

This can also cope with the above situation.

Yes, there can always be a mistake. In this case, please use the Report function as I mentioned above.

The ability to delete your own images is much requested by users, but I am not aware of it being planned.

Yes, using it to maintain Chinese TV dramas would be very convenient.

But the tool is not perfect either, as it captures official information.

So if official information is not available (bad images), as discussed above.

The maintenance personnel did not rule out these bad images and uploaded them, which would cause inconvenience to users.

As far as I know, Is there a time difference when TMDB's data takes effect?

Can the uploader be allowed to delete their uploaded images within this time frame to resolve this issue?

I know that reporting this issue is undoubtedly a good solution.

I just don't want these bad images to appear in the user's media library due to my mistake.

The above is from machine translation, hoping to express my views.

In general, I think using bots to add data is not a good idea at all and afaik nobody uses them here except for Chinese content. Leaving aside the legal side of things, the main problem with bots is the risk of adding poor quality or outright wrong data on such a massive scale that it makes it virtually impossible to keep our database correct. I don't understand Chinese content, so I'm not in a position to check and correct your contributions, but I definitely don't recommend using any scripts or bots to import data here.
