故事开始于2002年的夏天，徐丹萍（朱丹 饰）和夏正男（杨谨华 饰）从广播电视大学毕业，双双进入了电视台成为了预备主持人。在学校里，徐丹萍和夏正男是非常要好的朋友，在工作岗位上，两人都是彼此深深信赖的搭档。徐丹萍从小就失去了父母，在孤儿院长大，她的心中有一个愿望，就是能找到自己失散多年的妹妹，可她再也没有想到的是，她苦苦寻找的亲人，其实每一天都出现在她的身边。

　　夏正男的母亲希望女儿在行业内能够尽早出人头地，于是每天都带着她辗转在各种饭局和各个领导之间，徐丹萍无人可以依靠，只能靠自己没日没夜的学习。李朝阳（吴建 饰）和陈易朴（张赫 饰）两个男人出现在了徐丹萍和夏正男的生命里。
