High school student Masato has been living abroad and only now returning to Japan. On his first day at school, he is awoken by Ann, his Arnval model Shinki. As he hurriedly prepares to depart, Ines, an Altines model, and Lene, an Altlene model, both make their way out of the boxes they have been to neatly packed into.

For the sake of their Master, they enthusiastically go about cleaning and squaring away Masato's belongings. In the midst of this, they come across a box labeled Valuable. What could be inside?

Le lycéen Masato vit à l'étranger et ne revient qu'au Japon. Lors de son premier jour à l'école, il est réveillé par Ann, son modèle Arnval Shinki. Alors qu'il s'apprête à partir, Ines, un modèle d'Altines, et Lene, un modèle d'Altlene, se faufilent dans les boîtes où ils ont été soigneusement emballés.

Pour le bien de leur Maître, ils vont nettoyer et équarrir les affaires de Masato avec enthousiasme. Au milieu de cela, ils tombent sur une boîte étiquetée Valuable. Qu'est-ce qui pourrait être à l'intérieur?

Heutzutage hat jeder Mensch einen kleinen, nur 15 cm großen, Helfer bei sich; die Shinki. Als Roboter sollen sie ihrem Besitzer unter die Arme greifen und ihnen so das Leben erleichtern. Ann, Aines und Rane dienen dem Schüler Masato. Als Busou Shinki, sprich bewaffnete Shinki, treten die drei in spannenden Kämpfen gegeneinander und andere Shinki an. Doch dann taucht Shinki Nr. 4 auf und vorbei ist es mit dem entspannten Leben...

Historia z serii okruchy życia ze szczyptą walki w tle, dziejąca się w przyszłości. Żadna Trzecia Wojna Światowa nie miała tu miejsca, o inwazji kosmitów też nie może być mowy – ot, kolejna normalna epoka, które nastała po wieku, w którym teraz żyjemy. W tym świecie roboty stały się nieodłącznym elementem codziennego życia, zaś ich celem jest jak najlepsze przysłużenie się społeczeństwu. "Shinki", to 15-centymetrowe słodziutkie dziewczątka, które mają pomagać ludziom. Wyposażone w inteligencję i emocje, całkowicie poświęcają się swoim “Panom”. Roboty te mogą nawet być zaopatrzone w broń i zbroje, by móc ze sobą walczyć. Tego typu Shinki zwane są "Busou Shinki" (dosłownie, "uzbrojone boskie księżniczki"). Trzy z nich, Ann (typ Arnval), Aines (typ Altines), and Rane (typ Altrane) służą Masato, będącemu pierwszoklasistą w liceum. Sprawy się komplikują, kiedy dołącza do nich nowa Shinki z bojowego typu Staarf.
