I removed the pilot from season 1. But, I'm not sure if the pilot belongs into the 'specials' season?!? In the Contribution Bible it says:

"Pilots which originally aired as proper television movies or one-offs and later became a television series belong in the movie section. We try to replicate the format of the original release."

And this article from the Guardian states at the beginning:

"Motherland, a critically acclaimed one-off comedy about the competitive and crazy side of having children, is to return as a series on BBC2.

Written by an award-winning writing team including Graham Linehan, who also directs, and Sharon Horgan, Motherland attracted a consolidated audience of 2 million viewers when it appeared as part of the New on Two strand of the Landmark Sitcom Season."

In my opinion, the pilot was a one-off -> so we should create a movie entry for it and remove it from the 'specials' season of the tv show.

I'll keep this discussion open for another moderator to take a look at this. Because I'm not 100% sure.

I agree it was a one-off comedy special... but I also think they used the Landmark Sitcom Season as a not-so-secret opportunity to test a few potential new series. I don't see a problem with the pilot being in the Specials.
