where shows go to die.

I am still watching it but I have to say this Shepherd storyline is going on for too long. I am still puzzled by all the tattoo stuff - I don't understand how they could leave clues to future events whose variables could have changed at any moment. Why was any of it necessary - what if the FBI didn't have the services of the brilliant Patterson and couldn't have worked them out anyway. And how did the mole create a hole the size of a filing cabinet in a solid cement wall without anybody noticing not to mention how they infiltrated the building/s with massive crates of explosives and nothing detected them. It doesn't say much for FBI or Homeland security protocols.

[SPOILERS Ep 02/22]

So at first I was laughing actually, thinking the season finale was kind of silly with the sci-fi box and the "LED"-tattoos. But then I went on reddit (because face it, it's not exactly crowded on these boards) and people there had some crazy but intriguing theories for season three. So I'm sticking around to see where this will end. I just hope the whole team will be there, it would be a shame to lose someone now.

The season finale was totally over the top. The Sandstorm plot line was absurd from the start but it got downright ridiculous at the end. It was more absurd that James Bond movies from the 60's and 70's. I love those movies btw but this show had a completely different tone than those films. Because of that the far fetched plot just didn't work. I'm still going to be watching when it comes back however. I can't look away from an action show starring Jaimie Alexander.

Yes, she's one of the reasons I'm still here too, never before have I've been so captivated by a lead actress. Those eyes and that smile, and then she starts to speak, sounding like she ate sand paper for breakfast. Are you kidding me? I hope we get to see a lot more of her after Blindspot.

I'll still watch it on Fridays! So Roman is now going to be the bad guy :( I liked it when he was working with the team. I was a little lost .... did it actually say why Jane ran away for 2 years? I'm surprised no one mentioned her hair. Definitely a softer nicer style.

If this were a cable show, I'd disagree--outright. But, with network shows, USUALLY Friday spells end-of-the-road.

I like Roman; he makes an excellent, convincing "good guy", and "bad guy".

But, I also liked him best as a team player.

Since they seemed to have eyes-and-ears everywhere (their people inside the inner-circles), maybe they expected they would have the flexibility to adapt, to make change as needed. While I don't think they could have planned for every variable; say what you will, Shepherd was brilliant (and a general) so, no doubt, she was no slouch when it came to contingency strategies and adaptability.

As for why put the tattoos out there in the first place--

--I don't remember the exact wording; but someone (don't know who) said that the idea of using the tattoos to solve so many high-end cases was to boost Weller's profile. That is, push him to the forefront so that he would replace Mayfair as director once she was jettison.

When that didn't workout according to plan (Nas); they had to adapt? That is, change their strategy in order to find a way to offload Nas (the ambush).

A TWO-YEAR jump and GLOWING tattoos; they sure know how to ramp up the anticipation!

So far, don't have any theories (to put out here) about what it all means; but, they sure know how to get your brain busy thinking and make you dizzy_face wondering what it's all about.

Looking forward to S3!
