Now we are afflicted by the heavy monosyllabic presence of Anne Robinson - never has this show been so poorly hosted. Gone is the wit charm and energy of previous hosts and we are stuck with the silent destroyer. I would love to have seen Colin Murray take over as host - as he guested in that capacity several times with great success - but it was not to be. I hope Anne Robinson has a brief tenure - she is not fit for the purpose. I now also note that Rachel Riley is described as a co-host - what of Susie Dent then - who has served many more years than Riley. There is too heavy a female presence in this show - it is Countdown - not "Loose Women".
