故事以大战结束后，信息来源、土地都被分割的21世纪的城市社会为舞台。主人公是在Ankoru・全球・保全民间军事公司工作的赛库拉克与顶尖的Unit・Weapons的塞金，通过激烈的战斗描写，Ankoru与不友好市民之间发生的各种各样的冲突事件。

Viper's Creed is a Mecha action anime series created by Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan with animation by AIC Spirits and Digital Frontier. Though Hiroyuki Kanbe is the main director of the show, Shinji Aramaki is solely responsible for the creation and conception of the show.

環境破壊、大戦、民間軍事会社との正規軍の対立、そこにはりめぐらされる陰謀、階級社会。近未来に生きる傭兵たちの生き様を描くメカニカル・アクション。流通の拠点として繁栄する都市「フォート・ダイバ・シティ」を警備するPMC（民間軍事会社）を舞台に、命を賭けてミッションに挑むブレードマン。彼らはバイク型「マニューバ・ブレード」から人型「マニューバ・ロイド」に変形する可変機動兵器を操り敵に立ち向かうのであった。

지구 온난화로 인한 지구의 대부분의 도시가 수몰되고, 이어진 제 3 차 세계 대전으로 인해 사람들이 재앙과 혼란을 겪고 있다. 이에 다양한 PMC들이 도시의 법 집행과 자위대를 지원하게 된다. 전쟁과 홍수로부터 다시 재건하려고하는 PMC 중 하나는 Arqon Global Security corporation이며 Blademen이라는 요원이 이끄는 Viper라는 엘리트 군대를 배치하여 Fort Daiva City를 테러와 무장 한 범죄로부터 보호하려 한다.
