Despite being called "Season2," it was originally announced as a second cours, not season.
I added the upcoming episode to the current season for now. If the numbering does ends up being restarted, a new season will be created and the episode(s) will be moved there.

What was announced some time ago doesn't matter. What matters is only the original release. It was even called «Season 2» in the series itself.

All will depend on how the episode is numbered.
If it is listed as episode 13 on the official site, it will be the continuation of the current season. If it is listed as episode 1, it will be listed as the first of a new season.

I know that. Considering it is marketed as season 2 now, I'm pretty sure there will be episode 1, not episode 13 (although I can't find the episode list on the site).

It varies from anime to anime. Some anime have cours or sequel series that are either titled "[Anime name here] Season#" or marketed as a second season but the episode numbers are continuous (like Bungo Stray Dogs) while others restart the episode numbers (like CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD will+Dress).
