Discuss The Walking Dead

IMDB plot synopsis has this to day about the second to last ep:

"In the aftermath of an overwhelming loss, the communities must brave a ferocious blizzard; as one group deals with an enemy from within, another is forced to make a life or death decision."

My money is on Michonne . The actress is slated to leave mid season 10 but seeing they did that twice this year, maybe the producers decided to knock her off in this season? I doubt we'll lose Daryl; but I suppose the King, Henry, Carol, or Inid would be considered an overwhelming loss, too. Still, Michonne tops my guess list due to the aforementioned planned exit.

OR the big loss could be the Whisperers follow the trail to the festival and attack; leaving a bunch of extras dead...

Enemy from within? The Highwaymen of course. Or Lidia if Daryl decides to take her to Alexandria... Or good old Negan!

Life or death?? Who knows when everything is life or death.

Next week sounds like the ultimate filler. A flashback to how Daryl and Michonne got their scars. I do not care.

The way they died was shocking more than who.

You know what I read spoilers and missed it live so I watched the replay and it was very dull. I guess if it had bigger central characters die instead it would be more impactful.

Alpha sneaks into the fair and tricks everyone into believing she's a god damn soccer mom wearing that fake hair and a sun hat lol. Can everyone be that stupid or was her disguise and acting just that good?

What was up with that cartoon movie they watched? They could not get a better movie??? lol. It was like a 1950's cartoon knock off of Looney Tunes.

The point with Alpha sneaking in is that no one knew people from the other communities like they used to. So she could walk around unnoticed until Ezekiel happened to bump into her but he did not know who she was, either! That is how any of the others who had to have helped grab all those victims were mingled in. No one knew who was who anymore. And remember no one but Henry and Daryl had seen Alpha.

In the old days movies were always preceded by a cartoon. Also a newsreel, and a short subject (like the Stooges short subjects). So the main feature would have followed.

Im not sure bro. Tara, and like 12 people all saw Alpha that day she appeared and demanded her daughter back remember? For Tara to clean up all nice like that to sneak in is probably unlikely since she's been living like in her own words like a wild animal since the end of the world.

Good point on the cartoon usually opening before the actual movie, but it would have been hilarious if the movie was Love Actually and they all go damn that guy looks hell lot like Rick LOL

LOL! Or The Boondock Saints and say the same for Daryl! Tara saw Alpha from a distance. Only Daryl got close. Plus whatever she used for make-up covered her bruises and other identifiers. Now had she tried that at Alexandria where Deb was well known then no. But again at the fair there were so many folks and no one from each community all that familiar anymore so... In the end it's a TV show and we buy what the writers feed us or we don't and let it bug us on end.

Talking Dead for that ep was especially solemn. Brett Butler was one of the guests and lightened things up, being a comedian. Also a possible spoiler was dropped when Hardwick I think suggested Zahid may have been turned! The actor looked at Scott Gimple in panic saying "No. No!" And Gimple being the usual no spoiler self just grunted a "never know" grunt at the camera. Next ep says one community fights a "enemy from within". I take that as Negan asserting himself, or maybe some of The Kingdom turning on Lydia in retaliation for the deaths. But maybe Zahid?? No... he wasn't there long enough to assimilate and as far as I know Alpha has no hypnotic powers. And his speech at the end was too heartfelt to be fake.

(Holding poster board):

To me, that is perfect.

There was a moment in it where a sheep(?) pulled the "skin" off a wolf's(?) face. So...

Yeah I saw that he made a weird like overly exaggerated face toward Gimple either playing it off as a joke or being overly worried for it? I couldn't tell as we don't know the actors true personality?

Oh, you mean just like the audience.
