I saw this when it first was released and now I'm rewatching it on Netflix. It feels very dated. I'd love to see a good remake of it.
In my opinion, Francesca Annis was not the best choice for the role. I wish they could have found someone who actually looked like Lillie. Anyone have ideas who of today's actresses looks anything like Lillie?

I watched it back when it originally aired (1978 or '79) on t.v. in the States and was very impressed with it at the time, when the standards for a quality television production were much different from now. It seemed well polished and beautifully done back then, but I'm guessing would look and seem quite clunky now.
There's none of today's actresses I'm able to think of who seem to resemble Miss Langtry.
