Recommendations keep Recomending me Movies I've already watched and Rated

Recently recommendations are movies I've already watched and rated, and to clear them I need to remove the rating and re-rate them then the recommendations algorithm pulls up more movies that I've already watched that matches that movie. It's very annoying I liked the recommendations that this site gives me, one of the main reasons I use it. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I have the same problem! It's disappointing that no-one has responded to this after more than a year. I've just spent several days working out how to programatically transfer all the ratings from my personal movie library into tmdb, primarily in order to get some useful recommendation. Being recommended my existing favourites isn't what I was hoping for!

I have actually stopped using the site it was too annoying because of this issue

I’ll hopefully find some time in the next month or so to finally look at this. We’ve been real busy with other things and this just hasn’t been a top priority.
