Hello, can I know: can I translate name of movies or TV shows?

Not exactly translate.
But put the official title used in your country.
If the movie does not have a page in your language, then you can create the page of your language-COUNTRY and put the title used in the movie release in your country.
Enjoy and also put a Overview, a Tagline, Runtime, the Release Date and the Certification .
If other titles for DVD have been used in your country, put them in Alternative Titles.

Please read title

I read.

1 If your question is only written in the title of your post, it is difficult to make a quote.
Create a concise title for your question and put the whole question in the body of the text.
For example:
Title = Translation of Title
Question = Can I translate name of movies or TV shows?

2 It is always easier to explain and solve a problem if there is a concrete case.
It assumes that you want to put a title in a language you did not report, in a movie that you did not report either.
If the movie already has the page with the data of your language-COUNTRY, then it must already have the correct title.

So I need use only names that Google have like Chilling Adventure of Sabriel is same in my COUNTRY Then I don't need translate?

I forget to question. Why do TV shows or movies do not translate or have default English title I don't mean like Aquaman but like most of Netflix series and movies?

What is your language?
What is your country?
What movie do you want to put the title in your language-COUNTRY?
Is this movie? https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/79242-the-chilling-adventures-of-sabrina

What does Google have to do with this issue?
In your understanding is Google who should determine what is the title of a movie in a particular country?

Is there a Netflix website for your country?
What is the link of this site?
On the Netflix website for your country, this movie is shown with which title?

If you are not talking about the movie Aquaman, what movie are you talking about?
Can you tell a specific movie from Netflix?

Okay I gonna use more better.

  1. The Czech (CZ)
  2. Umm Czech Republic
  3. That question was kind of what and I need to think. But you have correct it is this https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/79242-the-chilling-adventures-of-sabrina. (basically I translator and then after I am translate other movies/series. So I am here asking)
  • ,, What does Google have to do with this issue? " Thats not issue basically in our country when I search a name of a [tv serie?] some will have traslated like House of Cards is named Dům... Wait! description of this movie have Dům z karet but it isn't added name it is just House of cards. What?

  • ,, Is there a Netflix website for your country? " Well N̶a̶h̶ it is not translated but subtitles are hmm.. added, not translated but you can still browse Plus here is website you will see the only change is only CZ https://www.netflix.com/cz/

and to question ,, On the Netflix website for your country, this movie is shown with which title? " it maybe show same I just made up and well...

And this need more explain right?

  • ,, If you are not talking about the movie Aquaman, what movie are you talking about? " I didn't mean to, it's like in our country again when we search up it stay same name because it could be stupid to call (IDK)

  • ,, Can you tell a specific movie from Netflix? " Yeah I can. I did too here is a netflix movie?? https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/543540-the-stand-in?language=cs-CZ

(Note to you sorry that I did not remove but you will understand)

Netflix does not allow me to go to page .cz
But you can verify what title Netflix .cz has used in your country.
And use the same title.
This rule also applies to TV Show broadcast on Cable TV and to Movies on Open TV or in movie theaters.
That is: use the official title, what these companies used.
If there is an informal translation, put it in Alternative Titles.
There are other users of the Czech Republic who already work this way.
The title is not a matter of personal taste, not least because it can initiate a conflict.
So the rule is to use the official title.
See here https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/movie#59f3b1749251414f2000000c

The original title should be the title used for the first official release, not a title only used as a working title before the release or a title only used for festival screenings.

Hi,

Diskuzi přesouvám do moderátorského chatu, kde vše potřebné vyjasníme.

Moving topic to admin talk and closing it. Thanks @ticao2.

Anyone here knows about requesting movie poster in Korean version from other users?

The only way to contact other users is to use our forums, as you already did. We don't support direct image sharing between users, because our site is dedicated to making crowdsourced TV movie/tv database only. All images contributed by our users are available to others and you can download them directly from the particular movie page. Also, all our images comes from other internet sources, so you should be able to get them elsewhere too (e.g. by googling them). If you need the image in better resolution than we already have, we can't help you.
