Hi jamie,

I actually spent a lot of time on this when I built TV. Since TV was a discretely new model, I made no assumptions about anything that was happening in the movie section. To me, and everyone I asked, the word title just felt weird when describing a TV show. Is one clearly better than the other? I suppose not but the word "name" just felt like it mapped better to the nature of TV. That way shows, seasons and episodes all carry it.

From my model perspective here on TMDb, movie and TV shows don't share almost anything. My work on movies was done in 2009 and a lot has changed since then. TV was a complete re-write with everything from the model and up.

Cheers.

ahh your kind of right about that episodes taking the name title

though from my perspective it would be nice if the 'name' or 'title' of both where the same so i wouldn't have to sanitize it on my end, would also be good if the tv shows had the adult tag or rather if both had a rating (ie G/R/pg13) tag but that would be a lot of work todo retrospectively

There is plans to add ratings, the ticket for that is here.

With regards to the adult flag, if it's necessary I am more than happy to add it but I am not personally aware of any adult TV shows. Are there any?

i feel a bit ... too experanced now but if adult means pornographic then i can think of at least one https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=red+shoe+diries+&oq=red+shoe+diries

though if one is to include french/danish tv shows then there are many more

Ah, true. I forgot about Red Shoe Diaries.

Ok, there is probably enough toy warrant the filter just like we do in movies. I've created a new ticket for that here.

hehe at least i am not the only one to stay up for that when i was a boy
