张铮，原名张乔夫，演员、导演、配音、编剧。1931年生于北京，1948年到香港，1951年加入长城公司，初任演员，曾在《女子公寓》、《锦上添花》、《屈原》等影片中饰演角色，1962年在珠江电影制片厂摄制的影片《南海潮》中扮演男主角。60年代参加长城影业公司的编导工作，与人联合导演《映山红》、《迷人的漩涡》等影片。后独立编导《新疆奇趣录》、《中国少数民族传统体育运动会》等纪录片。80年代参与拍摄ATV剧集《新变色龙》、《怒剑鸣》、《皇家丽人》等。90年代曾参演萧芳芳主演的《女人四十》等电影及亚视剧集。

张铮是当时国语电影的全能演员，戏路甚广，能演绎的角色包括小生、帝王、少数民族、英雄豪杰等等。后移民加拿大，曾任温哥华电影电视人协会副会长，1998年以近古稀之年攻克英文关，先后出演《怪医杜立德》、《上海正午》、《自娱自乐》等新片。

Tseng Chang was an actor and assistant director. He has appeared in more than 100 films and has directed 7 feature films. He spoke five languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Japanese and some Korean. His father was Chang Der Lou, a famous star of the Peking opera.

He became an actor in 1951, when the air transport company he worked for shut down. A noted Chinese actress met him, felt he had great potential as an actor and helped him get started. In 1994, he made Vancouver, British Columbia his home.

He was honored in 2000 by the Hong Kong government for his lifetime achievements.
