I can't imagine what something like that would be like for an immediate family member of the parties involved to learn of and to have to wrap their head around, and especially can't imagine what it would be like for a household member (such as Ron, in this case) who actually lives at the scene of such tragedy.
That is really rough. Even celebrities sometimes have dysfunctional families.
There's also T Bierdz. ... T Bierdz , who lost his mother that way.
His youngest brother Troy, who had been living with him in Los Angeles, returned to Wisconsin. Shortly thereafter, in July 1989, Troy murdered their mother with a baseball bat and is currently serving a sentence of 50 years without the possibility of parole in a Wisconsin prison. In May 2000, his brother Craig committed suicide.
Sadly, one of my best friends experienced a family tragedy similar to the Bierdz family's one: My friend's twin brother was beaten to death (via baseball bat) by his (that brother's) drug-crazed young-adult (I think 18 at the time) son. That was something like 15 years ago. To this day the son remains in prison.
That took a long time for that family to even begin to recover from, as an event such as that is quite like a bomb exploding, that leaves everything and everyone feeling destroyed and gutted.
