Peter Berg (born March 11, 1964) is an American actor, film director, producer and writer. He is known for directing films such as Friday Night Lights, The Kingdom, The Rundown, Hancock and Battleship. He is highly regarded for developing the television series Friday Night Lights, based on the film of the same name which he also directed. In his more recent career he has worked to bring to the big screen true stories of ordinary Americans placed into extraordinary situations (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, Patriots Day). As an actor he is best known for his role as Dr. Billy Kronk on the 1990s-era CBS medical drama Chicago Hope. Peter W. Berg to amerykański aktor,reżyser i scenarzysta filmowy i telewizyjny. Urodził się 11 marca 1964 roku w Nowym Jorku. Dorastał w Chappaqua w stanie Nowego Jorku i uczył się w prywatnej szkole średniej w Watertown w stanie Connecticut. Uczęszczał do Macalester College w Santa Paul w stanie Minnestota, gdzie roznosił pizzę "Domino". Pracował w porcie w San Pedro w stanie Kalifornia. Zadebiutował w wieku 19-u lat w serialu TV "Number 96", gdzie występował od kwietnia do czerwca 1973 roku. Popularność zdobył dzięki roli Dr-a Billy'ego Kronka w serialu TV "Szpital Dobrej Nadziei" (1995-99).
