杜琪峰，1955年4月22日生于香港，祖籍广东省普宁市，导演、监制、编剧。 1980年执导首部电影《碧水寒山夺命金》，正式开始其导演生涯。1983年担任武侠剧《射雕英雄传》的执行导演。1989年因执导文艺片《阿郎的故事》而受到关注。1992年执导的喜剧电影《审死官》不仅成为香港电影年度票房冠军，还打破了香港电影的票房纪录 。1995年执导电影《无味神探》。1996年与韦家辉、游乃海等人合组了银河映像电影公司。1999年执导的电影《枪火》奠定其黑帮警匪片的风格，凭借这部电影他获得了第19届香港电影金像奖最佳导演奖、第37届台湾电影金马奖最佳导演奖。

2000年进入中国星集团并担任营运总裁。2003年凭借《PTU》获得第23届香港电影金像奖最佳导演奖。2005年凭借《黑社会》获得第25届香港电影金像奖最佳导演奖。2008年担任第65届威尼斯国际电影节评委。2011年凭借电影《夺命金》获得第49届台湾电影金马奖最佳导演奖 。2013年执导的电影《毒战》打破中国内地警匪电影的票房纪录。2015年执导剧情片《华丽上班族》和警匪片《三人行》。2016年，与韦家辉联合执导的魔幻大片《天师捉妖》。

2017年6月，美国电影艺术与科学学院正式宣布杜琪峰成为“2017年奥斯卡”新成员。

Johnnie To Kei-Fung, born 22 April 1955, is a Hong Kong film director and producer. Popular in his native Hong Kong,  To has also found acclaim overseas. Intensely prolific, To has made films in a variety of genres, though in the West he is best known for his action and crime movies, which have earned him critical respect  and a cult following.

His films, often made in collaboration with the same group of actors, screenwriters and cinematographers, frequently explore themes of friendship, fate and the changing face of Hong Kong society. Sometimes described as "multifaceted and chameleonic"  due to his ability to switch tones and genres between movies, To is nonetheless seen as having a consistent style, which involves mixing subdued realism and social observation with highly stylized visual and acting elements. To heads the Hong Kong-based production company Milkyway Image with his frequent co-director Wai Ka-Fai.
