Ilya Zalmanovich Baskin (Riga, Letònia, 11 d’agost de 1950), conegut professionalment com Elya Baskin, és un actor de caràcter letó-nord-americà.

Baskin was born in Riga, the son of Frieda and Zalman Baskin.  He attended Moscow's prestigious Theatre and Variety Arts College and won a Festival of Young Actors Award at the Moscow Comedy Theatre. Baskin immigrated to the United States in 1976.  He has built a considerable career in TV and movies, and is often cast as a Russian, due to his ancestry and accent. He has ultimately become one of the most popular choices whenever a Russian is needed in a TV-episode or a major movie production.  He is also a regular on the long-running Internet program "Outlaw Radio" hosted by Matt Alan, where he makes amusing commentary on contemporary topics, and does comedic interaction with fellow actor Richard Tyson and author Burl Barer, among many others.

Elya Baskin (* 11. August 1950 in Riga, Lettische SSR) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler lettischer Abstammung.

Nachdem der in Riga geborene Elya Baskin seine Ausbildung zum Schauspieler in Moskau absolviert und dort auch einen Preis als bester Nachwuchsdarsteller gewonnen hatte, spielte er in einigen sowjetischen Fernseh- und Kinoproduktionen mit.1976 wanderte Elya Baskin in die USA aus, wo er sich später auch einbürgern ließ, und setzte dort seine Karriere als Schauspieler fort. Aufgrund seiner lettischen Herkunft und des damit verbundenen Akzentes spielte er oft russische oder osteuropäische Charaktere in Filmen.

Einem breiteren Publikum wurde Elya Baskin durch seine Rollen als Maxim Brajlovsky in 2010: Das Jahr, in dem wir Kontakt aufnehmen (1984) und als der heilkundige Severinus von St. Emmeram in Der Name der Rose (1986) bekannt; dem vornehmlich jüngeren Publikum dann auch durch seine Rollen als Vermieter von Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2 und Spider-Man 3.
