تكرس نوال حياتها لأبحاثها العلمية، أثناء ذلك تلتقى بالمهندس عادل، تتزوجه وتساعده في أعماله وتتعرف على معارفه، منهم د. عثمان بك وزوجته سعاد، وتلاحظ أن ثمة علاقة خفية بين زوجها عادل وسعاد، وتضبطهما معًا وتقرر السفر إلى أخيها فى تونس، وعلى المركب تتعرف على محمود الذي تجد فيه ما لم تجده في عادل.

Nawal devotes her life to her scientific research and marries the engineer Adel. She meets his friends including Dr. Othman and his wife Souad. When she discovers that Adel and Souad are having an affair, she travels to her brother in Tunisia. On the ship, she meets Mahmoud and falls for him.
