Film Heleny Třeštíkové je unikátním časosběrným dokumentem, mapujícím čtrnáct let v životě mladé narkomanky a jejího marného zápasu se závislostí. Proč začala brát drogy? Jak sama říká - chtěla se lišit. Píše se rok 1996 a tehdy devatenáctiletá Katka žije v terapeutické komunitě Sananim v Němčicích s nadějí na obyčejný život - touží mít přítele, jednou i rodinu. Happy end se však nekoná. Režisérka zaznamenává ve svém filmu rok za rokem Katčin sestup níž a níž na spirále krádeží, prostituce, fyzického i psychického chátrání, na spirále, přerušované jen občasným vzepětím naděje a odhodlání s drogou skoncovat. Její touha je upřímná, droga ale nakonec vždycky zvítězí. Podaří se Katce konečně najít sílu ve chvíli, kdy otěhotní a budoucí mateřství jí nabídne životní motivaci?
