Discuss Riverworld

I haven't read the books, and I know the movie changes a lot, but I really like the idea that it's not a standard battle of Good vs. Evil, but instead it's a battle between Existence vs. Nonexistence, and it's mostly a philosophical split, not a question of morality.

In this movie, the Nonexistence side is mostly portrayed as "evil" and that's one of the major criticisms from people who have read the book (they say in the book it's more objective, so the reader can decide which side to sympathize with). But even so, it's a really cool premise and I was wondering if there are any other movies that hit this subject. Like with 2 opposite sides both fighting for what they think is best for the world, 1 side saying leave it as it is, and 1 side saying it needs to end.

Hang on minute... This isn't your usual style of post on here 🤔

But nonetheless a serious question deserves a serious answer - Avengers Endgame.

Haha I'm not really a frequent visitor so I'll have to brush up on the usual style of post before my next one ;) Thanks for the tip, I haven't seen Avengers Endgame but it's been suggested to me before. I'll put it on my list!
