Itziar is eight years old and lives in two very different worlds. On the one hand, the world of her disappointed Basque nationalist parents and, on the other, the religious school, which gives the girl a repressive and retrograde education. However, there is another kind of world, much nicer to Itziar, formed by the street and her friends.

Itziar, de 8 años, vive en dos mundos diferentes. Por una parte el mundo de la represión y tristeza representado tanto por sus padres, nacionalistas vascos asustados y sin ilusiones tras la derrota en la Guerra Civil, como por el colegio de monjas donde estudia. El otro mundo es el de la calle, donde Itziar verdaderamente se siente cómoda y feliz. Pero una enfermedad hace que Itziar sea enviada a un internado lejos de sus amigos y de sus lugares preferidos. A su regreso, después de varios años, Iciar se vuelve a encontrar con su pueblo y sus amigos. Pero ya nada es lo mismo
