As far as I'm aware it's an interactive film. You don't need VR glasses to watch it.
It was released as film by Netflix, reviewed as a film by the critics and added as film by all the main websites/databases. Seems like a no-brainer.

Well, it's just that a mod said Virtual Morality is a Virtual Reality project. But, if Virtual Morality is viewed as a Virtual Reality project, I dont see why Bandersnatch is not also considered a Virtual Reality project. They also said that Virtual Morality "....sounds very much like other similar interactive projects that we don't allow. Too much of a video game feel to be allowed as a movie or TV-series in my opinion". But I would say Bandersnatch is very much like a Video Game, no? Or at least not much more than Virtual Morality.
TL:DR: Then why is Virtual Morality not allowed?

I think the lesson here is that what Banana pointed out matters much more than how one individual defines the material. See it as a very notable exception to the rule. It is very closely resembling similar interactive games, but with the difference that none of the deleted interactive games were "released as film by Netflix, reviewed as a film by the critics and added as film by all the main websites/databases". I hope that makes sense.
