Discuss The Empty Man

I was surprised they tore this movie apart on Rotten Tomatoes. I guess people were expecting some kind of slasher film. It wasn't the greatest horror film but I was never bored during the two hour run time.

Yeah it was good but it could've been better. I do agree with the criticism of its length, amongst other things. It was trying to be a highbrow version of Candyman, The Bye Bye Man etc. And the ending was...well 130mins for that was certainly frustrating.

On the plus was James Badge Dale, and some scenes were really slick.

I liked it very much, in my opinion it is a very underrated movie with a great premise and also is very well done in terms of suspense, mystery feeling and atmosphere. A great plus was James Badge Dale as the always non-hysteric lead. There are not as much surprises as expected for the runtime and it is a bit of a slow burner (like the american "Ring"-Remake is) but I am still very enthusiastic about it.

I liked it too - Interesting story and twists!
