Discuss Martha Marcy May Marlene

this movie feels too real. Cults exist and are everywhere. What goes on is denied or ignored in large part by society. The reality is, there is no happy ending, no authority, no hero to come to the rescue. frowning_face

It is scary but ultimately she knew and wanted to be a part of that cult. The turning point was the killing, had that not happened she would've carried on that life.

What did the ending mean? That she'd never escape? And why didn't she say anything to her sister about that other car, was she worried she was being paranoid again (like at the party)?

I assume it meant that she'd always have that paranoia. The cult had damaged her psychologically. She probably had P.T.S.D. or something.
