The lead actor in this film is not the actor who played Peter Gunn on TV ( Craig Stevens). It is superstar matinee idol Robert Taylor. Funny for such a popular actor he was rejected as a kid in school- Taylor not Stevens!
The title is not deserved much though it is heard in the plot of the film. Taylor plays a deputy US Marshall. He hangs nobody.
Tina Louise aka Ginger Grant is in this. Somebody after watching this wrote strangely that her sex symbol roles killed her careeer and this movie showed how fine she could act. However! She acts swell but she also has two scenes in this film where she bathes. Other hot stuff she does too. We got to know of her from other hot stuff she did.
