Discuss Chappaquiddick

According to the MPAA, one of the reasons had to do with "historical smoking."

And actually, I didn't notice any smoking in the movie...so it couldn't have been that bad.

I haven't seen the movie but in one of the trailers I saw 3 instances. One guy smoking a cigar & the other 2 were smoking cigarettes. It's kind of weird that they call it 'historical smoking'.

Yea, there's another movie I saw six days earlier where I saw smoking every time someone turned around. That movie was Borg vs McEnroe (the events took place in the late 70s early 80s) and it was actually distracting to me...it actually caused me to remember how people used to smoke anywhere and everywhere. So maybe saw so much smoking in that one, I didn't notice it in Chappaquiddick! Actually when I think of it, there was a lot of smoking in I, Tonya. No warning about smoking from the MPAA in those other two movies! Because Chappaquiddick is a bit of a political subject, that might be the reason why the MPAA was very sensitive to the smoking...they probably tried to come up with what ever they could to warn people about the movie.
