I would divide this documentary into two parts.
Part 1: We see how the cast of a terrible low-budget "horror" movie come to learn that their film is enjoying cult classic status 17 years after it was released. They revel in their newfound "fame" and the adoration of devoted fans.
Part 2: We see how, despite the movie's newfound fame and belated success, the cast members' lives are pretty much exactly the same. When the screenings and memorabilia shows are over, all that's left are their regular lives. We get the sense that some of them really do want to be successful actors, and they are no more closer to that dream than they were before Troll 2 acquired legions of fans.
Did anyone else find it uplifting for the first half and pretty much a total downer for the second half? I felt so sad listening to Margo Prey talk about taking notes on acting when she was watching TV. She hasn't done anything since Troll 2 and it's unlikely she ever will (very nice lady, but she really can't act to save her life).
