A documentary which follows the 2004 Catalan expedition that made the second ascent of the ‘Magic Line’ on K2. After the inevitable lengthy battles with weather and adverse conditions, one team member reaches the summit and safely descends the Abruzzi Spur, but for the rest of the team, the retreat back down the Magic Line is a nightmare that ends in tragedy.

En 2004, en el 50 aniversario del primer ascenso al K2, una expedición catalana liderada por Òscar Cadiach alcanzó la cima de esta montaña de 8.611 metros por su ruta más difícil: 'La magic line', solo ascendida una vez hasta entonces. La aventura terminó con éxito, pero estuvo plagada de dificultades y tragedias en el camino. Este documental ilustra el lado más humano del espíritu del alpinismo. La película, producida por la Televisión Catalana, fue finalista en Banff, Kendal, Trento y muchos otros festivales en 2005 y ganó el Gran Premio en Torello 2005.
