I am... kind of surprised to be the first person to comment on this movie. Also, in regards to the movie... wow. Just... wow. I am rather impressed at how they managed to butcher such an amazing book, then turn out an absolutely terrible movie that actually manages to be a half decent schlock horror film. Real mixed feelings on it here.

IIRC "Watchers 2" was slightly closer to the book, but still bad.
I was heavily into Koontz when the book was released, and loved it. Hated the films with a passion.

I... have an interesting "love/hate" thing for the movies. It was my fragmented memories of somehow seeing the first movie when I was 3 or 4 that led me to discovering the book years later, reading it, then rewatching the movie for the first time and hating it. With age however, I can kind of enjoy the movie for what it is.
