A futuristic underwater sea-lab is having problems with a UFO that's parked between them and a nearby deep ocean trench. As they investigate, they attract the unwanted attention of a dangerous creature who puts the scientists and crew in danger.

Un gruppo di scienziati al lavoro in una stazione sottomarina registra sul sonar il segnale di un misterioso oggetto in movimento sul fondo del mare. Un sottomarino incaricato di indagare rinviene una sonda di origine extraterrestre nel cui interno c'è un voluminoso contenitore cilindrico che potrebbe racchiudere strumentazioni scientifiche. Quando viene trasportato nel laboratorio, il reperto si rivela una sorta di incubatrice che custodisce l'embrione di una creatura sconosciuta. Contro il mostro che, poco dopo, prende vita gli uomini della spedizione ingaggiano una disperata battaglia, non avendo altra protezione che le porte a tenuta stagna dei locali e un limitato quantitativo di dinamite
