寧靜的森林中，小動物們正快樂的合唱，忽然間噬血狼群來襲，森林裡的英雄人物梅花鹿卻在森林另一處與大角鹿爭風吃醋，為爭奪鹿小姐的芳心而打得難分難解，待他趕回森林後，才發現鹿伯伯已慘遭惡狼毒手，留下遺言要梅花鹿為他復仇......。同時，風騷又善妒的狐狸精因眼紅鹿小姐受盡萬千寵愛，設下詭計陷阱，聯合大角鹿欺騙鹿小姐說梅花鹿已死，甚至引來狼大爺入侵山羊公公的地盤，一片混戰中，兔子與烏龜也來參一腳、比賽跑，山林裡萬獸奔騰、熱鬧非凡，大俠梅花鹿能否英勇救美，化解了這一場森林危機呢？

　　重新出土的【大俠梅花鹿】，是一部標榜「天然景禽獸裝的台語童話故事片」，影片結合「狼來了」、「龜兔賽跑」等家喻戶曉的童話故事，透過動物擬人化巧妙安排，構成了這部饒富趣味的KUSO台語影片，也改變過往對於悲情台語片的刻板印象。當年知名小生凌雲飾演的梅花鹿大俠與大角鹿爲了爭奪鹿小姐芳心，破壞了原本平靜快樂的森林，同時狐狸精對鹿小姐因心生忌妒，設下一連串陷阱詭計，卻因東窗事發而引狼入室。負責看守森林的小羊因常謊報「狼來了」，逐漸失去大家的信任，直到狼群入侵山羊公公的地盤，才喚起動物們的警覺心，紛紛武裝對抗敵人。一時之間山林裡掀起了熱鬧非凡的大混戰，最後幸虧鹿大俠英勇救美，才化解一場森林危機。當年的海報標語上的文案：天然景禽獸裝台語童話故事片、鹿小姐痴情、梅花鹿報仇、狐狸精引狼、吸血狼兇暴，真是太神奇了的五○年代啊！

The happy lives of animals in the forest are stirred by the sudden attack of a pack of wolves. Uncle Deer comes to the rescue, and asks Birdy to notify his son, the Deer Warrior. Une renarde sexy qui danse le jerk, d'adorables lapins, une charmante biche qui attise les convoitises et d'affreux loups prêts à mettre en morceaux cette harmonieuse cohabitation. Dans cette adaptation de livre pour enfants, le grand méchant loup, image classique du communiste menaçant, peut aussi être considéré au second degré – comme beaucoup de films anticommunistes de cette époque.
