Sir Francis Hamilton, ambassador of King Charles II, sails from England to Jamaica where he has to sign a peace treaty with France. On the way to the Carribean his ship is attacked by a band of pirates, headed by the dreadfully renowned George Rackman. As soon as they discover the real identity of their prey, the predators kidnap Sir Hamilton to ask his wife a huge ransom.

Sir Francis Hamilton, ambasciatore di re Carlo II, salpa dall'Inghilterra per dirigersi verso la Giamaica, dove è atteso per porre la firma a un importante trattato di pace con la Francia. Non appena però la nave tocca le acque delle Antille, i pirati guidati dal temibile George Rachman fanno razzia dell'equipaggio e sequestrano Hamilton con l'intento di chiedere un cospicuo riscatto alla moglie Elena.
