Discuss The Breakfast Club

Since this is such a iconic movie there has been a lot of homages/parodies of both the poster and the basic concept. The first one that comes to mind is the poster for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/16337-the-texas-chainsaw-massacre-2) Never seen the movie, but the poster is funny.

I like that shows like Dawson's Creek, Victorious, and Lizzie Mcguire have had episode homages to it even though their target audience wouldn't get the reference necessarily.

Ha! Yeah that poster is hilarious.

I think I remember there being a "Breakfast Club" episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Also, the 1998 film The Faculty was clearly inspired by The Breakfast Club. It has all of the high school stereotypes (jock, nerd, outcast, druggie, popular girl), except it's a horror movie.

Not Another Teen Movie had a pretty spot-on spoof scene that featured Paul Gleason in a reprisal of his role as Richard ("Ah, excuse me Dick ") Vernon

NATM is really good. First time most of us saw Chris Evans.

Mine would have to be Community. It was especially touching since John Hughes had recently passed.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2!
