Алчност, поквара, невежество и болест. Лятото на 1349: Чумата стига до северна Германия. Менестрели пътуват към Хамелн за сватбата на дъщерята на кмета, която се жени за сина на Барона. Той иска със зестрата й, за да си направи армия. Баща му пък кара хората да строят катедрала, защото вярва, че така ще спаси душата си. Местен аптекар евреин търси лек за чумата, а свещениците го обвиняват във вещерство. Един от менестрелите, който успява да успокои дъщерята на кмета с музиката си, обещава да освободи града от плъховете. Кметът се съгласява, но после се отмята. Утрото носи чумата, делото срещу евреина и отмъщението на Ловеца на плъхове.

In de 14de eeuw wordt een rattenvanger (Donovan) door een burgemeester (Donald Pleasance) gevraagd om het stadje Hamelen van een rattenplaag te bevrijden. De man doet wat hem gevraagd wordt, maar nadat hij het beloofde geld niet krijgt besluit hij om alle kinderen van Hamelen uit de stad te lokken.

Greed, corruption, ignorance, and disease. Midsummer, 1349: the Black Death reaches northern Germany. Minstrels go to Hamelin for the Mayor's daughter's wedding to the Baron's son. He wants her dowry to pay his army while his father taxes the people to build a cathedral he thinks will save his soul. A local apothecary who's a Jew seeks a treatment for the plague; the priests charge him with witchcraft. One of the minstrels, who has soothed the Mayor's daughter with his music, promises to rid the town of rats for the fee. The Mayor agrees, then renigs. In the morning, the plague, the Jew's trial, and the Piper's revenge come at once.

XIVe siècle. Alors que l’Allemagne est ravagée par une épidémie de peste noire, la petite ville de Hamelin est sauvée par un joueur de flûte qui, doté de pouvoirs magiques, réussit à débarrasser la ville de ses rats. Mais devant le refus du baron de le payer pour le service rendu, le musicien décide de se venger. 

I menestrelli di tutto il regno si recano a Hamelin per il matrimonio della figlia del borgomastro con il figlio del barone. Mentre quest’ultimo vuole usare la dote della giovane per finanziare il suo esercito, il sindaco tassa il popolo per costruire una cattedrale e salvarsi dalla dannazione.

중세 유럽의 하메룬이라는 도시에 갑자기 쥐가 들끓기 시작한다. 얼마후 이곳에 수수께끼의 사나이가 나타나 하메룬의 영주로부터 큰 보상을 받기로 약속하고는 피리를 불어 도시로부터 쥐를 없애준다. 그러나 영주는 약속을 지키지 않자 이에 사나이는 복수를 결심하는데...
