Of course they are the obvious ones:

I don't get it. 0 nominations=The Oscars suck for not nominating. 1 nomination=wow that movie must have sucked to get only 1 nom. More than 1 nomination=Noms don't matter, that movie still sucked.

The Oscar have not been known for praising good actors, directors or movies.Hitchcock or Kubrick never received Oscar recognition as directors (Kubrick only received one for the newly invented special effects category in 1969) And when good actors or directors win one it is usually not for a role or movie that many would consider their best.Face it Scorsese's The Departed is a decent movie but it pales compared to Taxi Driver,Raging Bull,Goodfellas,Casino or even the recent Wolf Of Wall Street

  • Do you also insist on only watching the original versions when foreign shows are remade in America?

  • Do you prefer indie musicians to mainstream ones?

  • Do you avoid national franchises like Starbucks because you prefer coffee from independent local establishments?

Well in most cases the originals usually are better than the remakes there are a few exceptions but in general this seems to apply to 9 out of 10 cases .Even remakes of American/British films are usually worse than the originals despite technical innovations or budget recent movies like Dunkirk or this year's 1916 are vastly inferior compared to movies like the original B&W Dunkirk or Kubrick's Paths Of Glory (check out Kubrick's single shot opening through the trenches in Paths Of Glory)Heck even the tv movie adaptation of All Quiet On The Western Front by Delbert Mann from 1979 is better. And I do prefer Indie music over pop chart music(certainly today's music). And coming from Europe most of us make better coffee at home than Starbucks and I never had coffee at Starbucks same thing applies to McDonald's one can get a better hamburger at a local snackbar although I did go to McDonald's back in the day when it was new and a novelty but never was a fan of their burgers.

I see.

  • Do you wear plaid, skinny jeans and/or a vintage t-shirt?
  • Do you wear thick rimmed glasses without a prescription?
  • Do sport a thick beard?

None of the above I am not a metro man .

The look got too mainstream, I guess.

That look was never a thing in the Indie community in the 80's and 90's so as far as I am concerned the Indie look didn't went too mainstream the music did during the mid to late 90's which now is now labeled as "Britpop".

I see. 😅

Are we talking about Oscar nominations for RoS here or filling out Nexus's Grindr profile? What is going on?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

I am not on Grindr Zne and we were talking about the Oscars. But you seem to know an awful lot about their profile page 😛

I thought the concensus here was that RoS was not good and now it should get more Oscar nods?

Are you not on Grindr or Tindr, Nex? Single white Norwegian. Likes Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. Don't worry these pills I got from The Sisko should be wearing off in a week or two.

Because Disney gave out free Star Wars rides to the Academy Jury for Oscar nominations. To both questions nope!

Yeah and I answered all your questions.
