Discuss Forrest Gump

Still one of my all time favorites. Watchable from any point, through the remainder. Roger Ebert said it best. "I've never seen a movie quite like "Forrest Gump." Any attempt to describe him will risk making the movie seem more conventional than it is, but let me try. It's a comedy, I guess. Or maybe a drama. Or a dream."

It's essentially a yarn, and like all good yarns it has lots of elements. I think it's genius in that Forrest was instrumental in so many cultural and historic events because it means that anyone who remembers or was affected by those things has a remote connection to Forrest.

It still makes me laugh. Its on tv right now where he is saving his squadron from drone attacks and Bubba is dying

I didn't understand it as a kid in 1994, but the Watergate scene was comedy gold. When I watched it again as an adult, I thought it was hilarious.
