Tairov's performances "Princess Brambilla", "Phaedra", "Love under the Elms", "Optimistic Tragedy" have gained worldwide fame. In 1949, during the so-called struggle against cosmopolitans, Tairov was released from the leadership of the Chamber Theater, the theater was renamed.
