Discuss Mystic Pizza

LOL, remember the time she looked in her fridge, and it was crammed with lobsters. To top it off at her rich boyfriend's family dinner, guess what the main entree was? LOBSTER! Poor girl, I bet she dreams about them. I saw the classic film yesterday. I would rate it a 7, didn't love it,but entertaining.

I never knew, CT was known for the lobster/ seafood trade back then. I figured it was only in ME or MA. I know Maryland is famous for crab. I live in Chicago, but my late parents hailed from New Orleans, therefore I grew up with seafood. I found out, in the 1800's, lobster was considered food for the working class, the elite looked down on it, wow how times have changed!

It was nice to see a film that focused on the Portuguese -American community . Not many films do.
