Assassins are after a prostitute who has come into possession of a cigarette lighter that, unbeknownst to her, contains the negatives that show a politician's assassination. A delightfully playful giallo starring the beautiful Carole Bouquet as Mystère, a high class call girl who becomes the target for a couple of assassins.

Im Nobelhotel Sheraton Roma entwendet Prostituierte Pamela ein goldenes Feuerzeug, daß einem Freier gehört und versteckt es in der Tasche ihrer Freundin Mystère. Die Frau ahnt nicht, daß das Feuerzeug Negative enthält, die den Mörder eines Politikers zeigen. Wenig später wird der Freier ermordet und danach erwischt es auch Pamela. Mystère entgeht knapp einem Anschlag und wird sodann von Inspektor Colt beschützt, doch der geheimnisvolle Killer gibt nicht auf...

Mystère è una prostituta di lusso coinvolta in un paio di omicidi. Sul caso indaga l'ispettore Colt, ma la ragazza non è propensa a collaborare, almeno finché il misterioso assassino non prova a uccidere anche lei. Alla base di tutto c'è una rete spionistica e un traffico di microfilm. L'ispettore prova a trarne vantaggio, vende i microfilm, lascia la polizia e fugge. Mystère però lo insegue.
