A new documentary about the artist and teacher, Meinrad Craighead: Praying with Images tells the story of Craighead’s artistic and spiritual pilgrimage which began in her native Arkansas, where her greatest influences were the Catholic Church, the natural environment, and her grandmother who encouraged her to draw and paint. Craighead’s truly original art spans time and distance and tradition to combine imagery from Catholicism, Native American shamanism, and ancient mythology. Add to the mix her own dreams and mystic visions and the result is a unique synthesis of energy, color, and connectedness. Through this new documentary, more people will be able to meet this extraordinary artist who paints from her own inner landscape and encourages a unique way of seeing oneself and one's place in the world.

Tears of the Buddha: Spirituality and Emotions explores the spiritual path through the lens of emotion. Director Joel Lesko interviews modern Buddhistic teachers to find out how their teachings apply in daily life - are emotions an impediment to spiritual growth? What about so-called unspiritual emotions like anger and hate? Do emotions trap a seeker in the personal self? Tears is a serious look at an area of life that is often confusing and problematic for people in spiritual practices. Rather than another documentary about a teacher's enlightenment or awakening, Tears of the Buddha questions age-old teachings about emotions and leads to an important conversation about individual selfhood - is it real, or is it an illusion? Lesko shares his own experiences and interviews leading teachers including Gangaji, Eli-Jaxon-Bear, Jeff Foster, and others.

The film chronicles four events that take place over a span of two days, all relating to superstition and spirituality in India. It aims to show the thin line between harmless faith and the kind that puts down human dignity in the name of religion. Starting with a Godman with questionable intent, it moves on to a place where women are segregated during their periods, a lady isn't allowed to enter her place of worship for being born into a specific caste, and finally to a dargah where mentally ill women are admitted for being cured of their demons.
