"Youth After School" takes Tokyo and Kyoto as the stage, and tells the story of a family that develops around the daughter's marriage. The play was broadcast on NHK TV in 1963, but the program recording technology was not mature at that time, and relevant people called it "phantom TV drama (幻のドラマ)". However, this TV series that was originally thought to be lost has been rediscovered after 50 years.

Writer Jippensha Ikku hears Tsutaya Juzaburo, a wholesaler of picture books, mutter on his deathbed, "Where has Sharaku gone?" He begins to figure out the true identity of Sharaku, who disappeared after about 150 portraits of actors he created came out.

The day after Yasunari Kawabata won the Nobel Prize in Literature, a talk was held at Kawabata's residence in Kamakura. Yukio Mishima, who admires Kawabata, and Sei Ito, a literary critic, celebrate the first honor of the Japanese people, and this is a valuable opportunity for the three to meet and talk.

Few singers have plumbed the depths of the role of Violetta as did she incomparable soprano Renata Scotto. A Japanese TV documentary, NHK Tokushu Tezuka Osamu: Sosaku no Himitsu (Secrets of Creation.), was originally released as a book-mounted DVD, with cooperation from Tezuka Productions. Screened in Japan in 1986, it was filmed as Tezuka prepared for the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in 1985. It shows him working in his private studio and with his team, and gives glimpses of his wife, colleagues and old friends.

An old man cashes in all his possessions and sets off on a journey to the Tohoku region in late autumn. Along the way, he visits a friend on his deathbed and develops a faint affection for an elegant old woman, but the purpose of his journey is actually to find a place to die. He gives a large sum of money to a young couple, who are poor but have a dream for the future, and tries to throw himself into the sea. The movie depicts the loneliness of an old man who has lost his wife.
