SongBirth is the birth of songs told by songwriters as soul explorers. We looked for a visual translation of the songwriters’ journey, the creation from scratch of the songs that everybody can love. Writing music and lyrics is a fascinating journey into the deep. Here, the leading character is the creation of music arriving as urgency to some elected. ‘I get this urge to just create, I attribute it to a painter where you start with nothing and something triggers a though in your head’ Morgan Alexander. It wakes them up in the night and moves them to express themselves -‘Sometimes I get up at night and write songs.’ Leon Samuels. Songwriters feed the world with music and got fed! The art of songwriting is a way of living and exorcise life’s troubles, coming from somewhere nobody knows. Indeed, songwriting is natural, almost physiological… ‘like going to the toilet’ (My Baby Will). In the end rewards come and we have many performances to an audience – i.e. Jay Brown, Nobraino and Alessandra Celletti – from small intimate acoustic performances to a full-band big rock show. Songwriters' words cannot explain deep enough, hence the movie portrays metaphoric representations. A woman dances embracing the world, another walks in the desert, a flower blossoms, shadows become a painting, hammers blast the emptiness, lights can be seen in the darkness, daisies fall down from a fist.
