Discuss General Hospital

  • Was this the 1st time Cyrus on the theme opener?
  • Speaking of which, how did Cyrus get in a private prison as a ward from a federal crime?
  • Sonny seems annoyed that so many people want to know where Dex is like they're holding up his torturing the guy.
  • Hopefully, Dex has escaped by now or he's definitely freezing his balls off.
  • Diane was brutally attacked leaving a pool of blood behind resulting in a non-stop surgery that seemed to take days (probably only hours GH time) ... and yet, there's not a scratch on her. Same seemed to be the case with Brando.

Yeah something tells me we'll be putting up with Linda Purl fake Southern accent for a while.

I'm kind of wondering who will be Carly's lawyer though. Diane? Nora Buchannan? Molly??

I haven't minded Linda Purl's southern accent...she used one on Matlock when she had a regular role on that show as Andy Griffith's daughter. At least she is not playing a dull character...though I agree the story itself needs a bit more juice.

I have been wondering if the point of this storyline is for Carly to be there long enough so we can find out she had a secret child, fathered by Peyton's dead husband. I sincerely hope they don't go that route because Carly has enough kids.

So what sites of Jacksonville have we seen so far?

  • The cemetery where Virginia is buried
  • The diner/pub where Carly minces words with Peyton

And that diner/pub appears to be on the same grounds as the cemetery. Snarly walked a few feet away from Virginia's grave and she was inside the bar!

And that the kid is Dex ... Josslyn's new love interest. lol

IDK, it's possible they may want to get Carly back in PC for a bit and revisit the Jacksonville mess later, if at all.

Let's just have a spinoff soap called "Jacksonville" where Snarly's and Drew's characters can reside permanently and those of us who are not interested can just ignore it.

I think Linda Purl's character will last awhile. She will probably get more villainous and try to harm Carly at some point. So whether this drags out in Jacksonville or she follows Carly back to Port Charles, we will see. I notice the writers made a point of NOT having Peyton cross paths with Bobbie...at least not yet...so I wonder how well they know each other.

Also in terms of the backstory, were we told how Peyton's first husband died? Did she have something to do with his death? Or have none of those details been fleshed out yet?

What cracks me up is Snarly making all this fuss about her mother's grave. All of a sudden she cares about where her adopted mother is buried? Did she ever even visit Virginia's grave before this? She said Jason made the burial arrangements and paid for the burial and the grave and all. Snarly couldn't even be bothered to do that. And the only reason Snarly is even in Jacksonville now is because her plane to the Bahamas, or wherever, was diverted to Jacksonville because of a storm. She didn't go there on purpose to visit her mother's grave, no matter how she's trying to spin it now and pretend she cares.

Umm.. what's with this show where women don't know they've given birth in the past??

The Cluny Report: Three Down, Seven to Go

October 3, 2022 Cluny is dazed and flustered. There is a new Mr. Towel in town. She feels so disloyal to Chase, but...

October 4, 2022

  • Dex is a patriotic lad.
  • The French Riviera is banal.

Monday Oct 17

  • Anyone else catch Finola Hughes being shown twice in the theme song opening? Not even Sonny's gotten that.
  • So Bobbie heard about Carly's Jacksonville ordeal on the news all the way in Port Charles? Wouldn't that be more of a local story?
  • One minute Victor is all about family and the Cassadine name then the next minute, he's trying to kill off his son.
  • Not only does Lucy's necklace reveal all about her & Anna's plan but all Anna's neighbors can hear it too the way Lucy holds the front door open when yelling it all out.

Tuesday - Oct 18

  • Can't figure out who is more diabolical. Esme or Nik?
  • Never once dawned on Lucy when she was putting on her stilettos that she may need to run for her life.
  • Anna works for an international spy organization and has absolutely no security cams at her home? And even worse, Johan doesn't even suspect that she might and just waltzes right on in through the front door unmasked.
  • Proof shown today that Valentin dislikes being served spiked apple juice in a champagne glass when on flight to see his daughter.
  • Lucy is shot twice before falling into the pier but by who? Victor? Martin? or one of Anna's people stun-gunning her to keep her out of harms way?

So has Lynn Herring been upgraded to contract? She appears more than Roger Howarth and Kristina Wagner combined!

There have been many stories that involved recurring characters in front burner stories. Consider Lucas and Brad during that whole baby switch story. I'm sure it's a short story arc . But I would welcome more, I've always loved me some Lucy Coe.

  • So Lucy is now joining the ranks of Ginger & Mary Ann. ... Okay then, how about Holly?
  • Something tells me from Esme's tantrum squeals that she's missed quite a few spankings in her childhood days.
  • So Victor sent Lucy to Pier 55, which she immediately paused hesitantly saying that's where the hooker got "her" last victim. Do they both really think the hooker is going to strike there again?
  • Dex sells his soul to the devil once again.
  • So Pier 55 becomes a taped-off crime scene because Anna -THINKS- that is where 2 gunshots came from and from finding a woman's shoe.
  • So Esme slept with Nik at the beginning of June and thinks in the middle of October that she has 6 months left of her pregnancy while in her 3rd month. Usually a pregnant mother can do the math better than that.

I'm rolling my eyes per usual that someone gets shot, falls into the harbor, and yet can swim to safety. Just another day in Port Charles

  • Dex sells his soul to the devil once again.

God, I hope this isn't another Hannah Scott situation where Dex's job it to take down Sonny but he falls in love with him instead.

Is Spencer possibly being the father out of the question? I guess they did make it a point months ago that Esme was annoyed that Spencer never wanted to have sex but don't remember if he gave into her and there is a reason to question the paternity?

Lucy's misinformation about meeting at pier 55 instead of pier 47 is classic. Victor learned that from The Departed.

Johan gained 50 pounds in a few months

Sick of Kristina and Joss swinging from Dex's nuts
