I am really enjoying creepy nurse Mary Pat (Patricia Bethune) and was thinking what a good actress she is. Anyway, Googled her and she has quite the resume. She played psychiatrist, Dr. Edna (Sally's shrink) on Mad Men. Didn't even recognize her.

Thanks for the info Cluny. I stopped watching Mad Men when Don married the French actress and never caught up.
Christina Hendricks was my fave on the show.

ITA! I think they should bring her on as a different character, a “good nurse” who ends up replacing Felix as Mike’s private nurse lol

Ramming the syringe straight into Carly not caring one iota what it does to her won me over.

Indeed. But doesn’t the sedative have to go into a vein or IV, and not a muscle like Carly’s glutes? Anyway, it won me over too!

I hope she gave Carly a fatal dose.

Yes, but she took too long before jabbing Carly.

I like Mary Pat! I like anybody who doesn't take any of Carly's crap when she's threatening people with the wrath of the almighty Sonny. How can Laura Wright say those lines with a straight face?

How could Mary Pat possibly conclude anything from Carly's rant except that Carly is completely delusional?

Oh, wisegal, I am instructing you to finish all 7 seasons. I loved that show. Just finished watching the entire thing for probably the fourth time a few months back on the POP channel. It's also on Netflix streaming. My fave was Roger (John Slattery), then Joan, then Peggy. I really related to Sally because I grew up in the 60s. Anyway, it's worth it to watch it for the writing and the evolution of the characters. It lost its way a bit in the last season because I'm sure they were trying to tie up story lines, but still was really solid. That is all.

Hey, Mary Pat had a solid 5 seconds of looking like she was seriously considering the consequences of the wrath of Sonny. I thought that just maybe Carly would be led back to her cell unharmed, so was really shocked when she plunged that syringe in with such force. I actually almost fell off my couch.

I can't let this opportunity pass me by, I have to make a snarky comment here...
You're the one reader in 10,000 who didn't figure out the ending to 'The DaVinci Code' within 50 pages, aren't you?
Seriously, I wish I could be surprised by the obvious 'plot twists' on this show that we all see coming from 3 months in advance. Unfortunately, whenever I'm surprised, it is usually because the writing is so spectacularly bad that the thing that ought to happen in order for the story to make sense doesn't, resulting in a story that makes absolutely no sense at all and which directly contradicts itself.

Thank you! I have so much in my Amazon Queue, and I get free cable/on demand, all 9000 channels included in my condo fee.....I’m kinda buried. Between ‘The Americans’, ‘Animal Kingdom’, ‘Man in the High Castle’, ‘The Detroiters’, and other movies ...... im swamped. I’d need to quit my job and just watch tv all day to see everything.
But I will put this on priority. Thank you! As a child of the ‘70’s, I Loved the clothes, drinking and smoking, no PC, it was an awesome show.
Roger and Joan were really great. I try to understand Sally, she’s like my older siblings.

It was even more entertaining when Sonny went into the facility (however the hell he got as far as he did there is beyond reason) and got nowhere with the guard.
Sonny seriously looked like a powerless weasel.
