Midnight Mass týraly talqylaý

There were so many dumb moments in this, but I kept watching despite it being so slow, dunno really why, maybe I just liked those clones of Schwimmer, the guy from Lost and the girl from Rules of engagement and tons of other shows (I mean that Erin character has to be one of the most generic actress faces).

But just to pick up from last episode - oh God they locked the church and the glass windows are so high, almost 1 meter, let's not scratch ourselves, let's get better killed by vampires than break the glass.

Also let's burn all the buildings to put all our eggs in one basket, because that last building won't for sure burn down.

And without buildings it's really impossible to hide from daylight which can be apparently easily stopped by light curtains in priest house - storage box, fridge, car trunk etc anyone?

Save yourself time and far forward that cosmos final blabbering, which was the final nail in the coffin.

How the fuck has this 79% is beyond me, I gave it 6/10 and I'm very very generous.

I actually liked the pace slowly picking up throughout the series, and even the ubiquitous religious convos and undertones didn't feel too awkward and forced, as they often do in this context.

But damn you're right about the closure being dumb and perhaps worse, generic (as examplified by this Erin character). I'd also note that straight away when their one and only shelter starts burning the mindless bloodthristy townfolks switch back to being litteral altar boys and girls. Result of being satiated after their hunting party?

We kind of knew from the physionomy of the angel and Bev's one dimensional bigotry, that it had to go down that manichean road, but that's still a pity.

We're only left with the possibility the angel makes it to the mainland, in case a second coming of the antichrist is produced.

I thought a lot of it seemed to be very similar to Stephen King's work... and then after I looked up the creator/writer/director, I see that he has adapted and directed a few Stephen King works. :)

At the very end, Leeza says she can't feel her legs. If her injury came back, then she would not be sitting up in the boat; she would have fallen over because she had a spinal injury, not just a leg injury.

Unfortunate, had potential

I could not agree more. Like you this landed a 6/10 for me, as it did keep me until the end, but wow...what a terrible ending it was! That "energy of the cosmos" speech at the end was insufferable. Moronic. It literally hurt my brain to listen to it...terrible. Oh, and the literally "choir of zombies"...I just can't. Like, what?!?!! I literally laughed out loud at that scene, which I can't imagine was the directors intent.

On a positive note, I thought the "I can't feel my legs" line was a nice touch as it indicated that something had changed (angel/demon hadn't made it; spell was broken; etc) and somewhat answered the question about what was going to happen when those two kids inevitably die later in their lives.
