是由十个日本传统鬼故事为题材所组成的电视单元剧，推出后深获好评；内容以能透视幽灵的阴阳师 (竹中直人饰 ) 所遇见一连串怪事为主轴，故事一集完结。

每个礼拜轮流播映不同的故事，依序为：“四谷怪谈”、“番町皿屋敷”、“姥舍山”、“无耳芳一”、“雪女”、“狼男”、“吉备津之釜”、“源氏物语－六条御息所的怨灵”、“辉夜姫”、“牡丹灯笼”。

每回由日本偶像剧一线女星上阵，包括第一集”四谷怪谈“由菅野美穗饰”阿岩“、第二集”雪女“由松雪泰子饰”阿雪“、第四集”番町皿屋敷“由木村佳乃饰演”阿菊“等。另外也邀请到中山裕介、洼冢洋介等炙手可热的偶像剧男星在故事中客串演出。

Er wonen allerlei soorten mensen in de huurkazernes in de achterstraten van het oude Edo. Een van hen is Ashiya Dosan, de afstammeling van een Onmyoji die naam maakte in de Heian-periode. Helaas heeft Dosan, in tegenstelling tot zijn voorouders, niet veel verdiend met waarzeggerij en amulet-venterij die hij doet.

There are all kinds of people living in the back street tenement houses in old Edo. One of them is Ashiya Dosan, the descendant of an Onmyoji who made a name for himself back in the Heian period. Unfortunately, unlike his forefathers, Dosan has not made much of a living off the fortune telling and amulet peddling that he does.
