Discuss The Stranger

Dervla Kirwin. I hadn’t seen her in anything since Ballykissangel and I loved that show.

This series was better than the book, imo. The book was unrealistic but somehow the series worked. Not that the series stuck to the book but it was obvious to me it was based on the book by the trailer.

This was possibly the most pc series I have ever watched and the ending was ludicrous - every box ticked and a completely unnecessary portrayal of vicious cruelty concerning an animal which had absolutely nothing to do with the plot - just to please the teens I suppose. I was very disappointed with it.

Yeah I did notice the PC element of it. It was a strange setting, lots of different British accents but it was mostly set in the countryside where its not that diverse. However, I enjoyed the series.

Completely forgot about the Alpaca, but I did think its "murder" added intrigue to the first few episodes.
