Different spelling of the character's name

Extra Details: Not sure how to treat this. The name of the character, portrayed by Rade Šerbedžija, is spelled differently in the credits. In this episode it's "Nicolai" with "C", and in other episodes (and in SDH subtitles), it's "Nikolai" with "K". What is the proper way to deal with that?
1) add to each episode as listed on-screen in this particular episode;
2) treat this as a mistype (they also got two actor names wrong in this episode), ignore and use the previous spelling;
3) use "/" (Nicolai/Nikolai)

I would go with the spelling that is most used. As you said, it might just be a mistype.
